The Honda Jazz facelift is being previewed in Malaysia. The Jazz comes with 2 engine permutations for consumer to choose from, the 1.5L DOHC i-VTEC petrol engine and the Sport Hybrid i-DCD engine. Prior to the announcement in Japan, Malaysia is the first country to witness the new Honda Jazz Hybrid.
The Honda Jazz features Honda’s new intelligent Dual-Clutch (i-DCD) Hybrid System which comes with a new 1.5L DOHC i-VTEC engine. The Jazz Hybrid produces 137PS in total, which is approximately 30PS more than the usual Jazz. The Jazz is now sportier as it combines a 7-Speed Dual Clutch Transmission with integrated High Power Motor to improve quick shifting of gears resulting more powerful acceleration.
The improved Electric Vehicle (EV) mode drivability is now more efficient. The EV mode is now having independently functioning motor and engine which assists in sustaining regenerative energy and enhances fuel efficiency.
In terms of interior, the Honda Jazz will still feature the popular Ultra Seats. There are 4 modes of the Ultra Seats which are Utility, Long, Tall and Refresh. The seats are versatile and able to convert to different modes based on customer's need for enhanced spaciousness.
In terms of specification, LED daytime running lights and push start button with smart entry are available for all variant. The improved features include half leather seats, multi-angle reverse camera, six airbags, ABS, HAS, BA, VSA and Emergency Stop Signal.
