DRB-Hicom will continue to lead Proton

DRB- Hicom had signed the agreement with Geely and Geely will own 49.9% equity stake in Proton. However, DRB-Hicom will still continue to manage and lead Proton. International Trade and Industry Minister Datuk Seri Mustapa Mohamed said, “I am made to understand that DRB-Hicom will continue to drive the management of Proton. But of course, it's a business decision. So whatever it is, we leave it to the company to decide what is best for them.” (SOURCE)

Rolls-Royce Sweptail worth 13 million

Rolls-Royce recently unveiled the Sweptail, it reported price nearly 13 million dollars. The Sweptail’s signature feature is a single-piece glass roof that tapers into the car’s fastback rear end. It is a design feature that dominates the overall silhouette. “Sweptail is the automotive equivalent of Haute Couture,” Rolls-Royce Motor Cars director of design. Government will screen Uber and Grab Drivers

The government agencies like the Road Transport Department (JPJ) and police officials will be conducting screening for Uber and Grab drivers. Prior to the incident involving a 26 year old woman suffered from miscarriage, “It is of utmost urgency as there have been various incidents and we are getting more and more reports. We are very concerned and want the laws to be passed in Parliament as soon as possible,” said SPAD chairman Tan Sri Syed Hamid Albar.

“We will then cross-check the drivers’ backgrounds with the police and JPJ before they are given their drivers’ badges. There may be some delay in the process due to bureaucracy, but it must be done to ensure passenger safety,” he said (SOURCE)

Perodua partnered with Grab to offer Bezza, Myvi and Alza for Grab drivers

Perodua and Grab Malaysia signed a memorandum of understanding to provide value added services for GrabCar drivers. Those include special price packages to competitive hire purchase rates. “This MoU is a totally new frontier, a blue ocean, for Perodua as it will highlight our products to the masses on a big scale through Grab.” Said Perodua Sales Sdn Bhd managing director, Datuk Dr Zahari Husin.

Grab Malaysia country head, Sean Goh also said, “As the region’s leading ride hailing and multiservice platform, we are constantly focused on how we can empower the 620 million people across Southeast Asiato have better access to safe, efficient and affordable transport.” It will be expected that the MoU is an intermediary step while seeking other job opportunities or as a viable source of income and the exclusive price package will definitely assist drivers to continue to earn a living. 2017 CR-V open for booking

Fuel price update, petrol and diese price descend

Good news for June, RON 95 will be priced at RM2.10 per litre (-RM0.02). RON 97 will be priced at RM2.38 per litre (-RM0.02) and Diesel will be priced at RM2.02 (-RM0.01).
