Honda Hybrid battery replacement is only cost RM5,513

Honda Malaysia has put out an infotainment diagram for the two Honda hybrid models. The lithium-ion battery is designed to last longer and it is covered by an 8 years warranty with unlimited mileage. Honda has also stated that the replacement of the lithium-ion battery is only RM5,513 excluding GST and labour cost. Also, Honda also reinforce the reliability of their lithium-ioin battery by stating the fact the hybrid battery replacement rate stands at just 0.1%.

Ford EcoSport Facelift for the Europeans


The all new Ford EcoSport is now available for the Europe market. The blue painted EcoSport is rocking with a 1.5 litre EcoBlue diesel with 125 hp and 300 Nm of torque mated with a six-speed manual gearbox. The Ford EcoSport also comes with ST trim, with added sporty bumpers and side skirts, 17 inch alloy wheels, flat bottomed steering wheel, leather seats and ST-Line badging on both interior and exterior. The new EcoSport gets Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatible 6.5 inch infotainment touchscreen mounted on the dash.

Toyota Updated Camry and Altis with more kits and equipment

UMW Toyota has given Toyota Camry some mild updates at no extra cost. All models are now receiving carbon wood trim, seven airbags, upgrade, brake assist and VSC. The base 2.0E gets xenon headlamps with LED DRL, fog lamps, LED tail lamps, 16 inch alloy wheels, keyless entry and push start, dual-zone auto climate control, a 4.2 inch infotainment system, fabric upholstery, manual seats, six speakers and a portable tyre pump. The 2.0G X gets xenon headlamps, 17 inch alloy wheels, Qi wireless charger and a 2-DIN seven inch infotainment system with reverse camera.

The Hybrid Premium variant will gets LED headlamps, LED fog lamps, leather upholstery, power adjustable front seats, rear window blinds, cruise control, digital video recorder and security tinting. The Hybrid Luxury variant gets LED headlamps, auto wipers, auto dimming rear mirror, nano air ionizer, blind spot monitoring with rear cross traffic alert, 12 JBL speakers.

For Toyota Altis, the car spec remain unchanged. However, they gain a few optional kits. The optional Value Package includes a new DVR, DVD-AVX infotainment system with reverse camera, Toyota premium tint and illuminated scuff plate. The value package is priced at RM6,137.40 and it is offered free for new customers.

2018 Nissan Leaf will be coming to Malaysia

Nissan has just revealed the all new Nissan Leaf and Edaran Tan Chong Motor has confirmed that the Leaf will be launched in Malaysia in 2018. The Leaf is an electric powered hatchback and was a pioneer of EV before Tesla. The new Leaf is equipped with improved energy efficiency and increased power, it can now produces 110 kW or 148 hp and 320 Nm with 67% better energy density. All the power comes from the all-new 40 kWh lithium-ion pack which allows the car to drive further.

The new Leaf also comes with ProPILOT which practically an autonomous driving technology and ProPILOT Park help one to park the car automatically using cameras and ultrasonic sensors. e-Pedal is a technology whereby one can starting, accelerating, braking and stopping the car by using one pedal.

Mazda CX-5 is awarded five-star EURO NCAP safety rating

The Mazda CX-5 has been awarded five-star safety rating by Euro NCAP. The CX-5 was praised for its AEB performance, whereby it was fitted with good list of safety features including three levels of autonomous emergency braking. NCAP has also given Mercedes-Benz C Class Cabriolet and Renault Koleos five-star rating in the latest test.
