Ready For Halloween With Spooky Cars ( 2017-10-13 )

It is this time of the year again, it is Halloween. In ancient times, Halloween is a time of celebration and superstition, whereby people wear costumes to ward off roaming ghosts. In modern days, Halloween is a time where everyone demonstrates their creativity for spooky outfits and face make-up to celebrate with parties. By all means, you need the right car to complement to your outfits. MyCarsearch is here to suggest you three cars to steal the show this Halloween.

Toyota Sienta

The Toyota Sienta is definitely not the conventional MPV that you see on the street, it has that quirky clown face on the front, almost looking similar with Pennywise, the dancing clown. The Sienta is all about the look, the peculiar curves and lines and everything on the car scream ‘Look at me, I’m different!’ makes it a head turner. This seven seater MPV offers plenty of practical equipment that will completely blow your mind. It is powered by 1.5 litre 2NR-FE Dual VVT-i engine that produces 107 PS and 140 Nm, fast enough to run away from zombies and crazy clowns on this Halloween.  The Sienta is being equipped with my favorite feature - the power sliding doors. You can now scare your friends and family by secretly opening and closing the sliding door with a touch of button on the key fob.

Sienta V gets sliding doors for both sides.

On the inside, the Sienta is very well equipped with keyless entry, 7 inch infotainment touchscreen, leather wrapped steering wheel, reverse camera and auto climate control to keep your passengers entertained on a long distance drive. The one touch fold and tumble feature makes it easy for third row passengers to enter and exit the car, so that everyone can get easy access and no one gets left behind.

Sienta G gets one touch tumble for easy acessto the third row seats.

In terms of safety features, all variants get three airbags, ABS, EBD, Hill Assist, Electronic Stability Control (ESC), Traction Control (TRC) and ISOFIX making it an ideal vehicle for senior citizens, children, women and what not. If you are planning to steal the limelight on this Halloween, consider getting the Toyota Sienta V in bright orange color this Halloween.

Hyundai Ioniq

The Hyundai has marketed the Ioniq as the ‘green car’ and they pretty much nailed it. We are surprised by this curvy looking Hybrid sedan that takes over Malaysia by storm, mainly because of its looks and latter its performance. On this Halloween, trick or treating in your Hyundai Ioniq and need not to worry about the fuel consumption because the Ioniq could achieve 30KM per litre fuel on a normal city drives. The Ioniq is powered by a 1.6 litre Kappa GDI engine producing 105 PS and 147 Nm of torque, mated with a 1.56 kWh lithium-ion polymer battery that boost up to 141 PS and 265 Nm of torque. The drive in the Ioniq is surprisingly well at the given price point. Being known for Hybrid capability, the Ioniq does not perform like one, the DCT gearbox delivers instant power output almost as efficient as some of the turbocharged cars out there.

Ioniq HEV is equipped with seven airbags and Vehicle Stability Management (VSM)

The interior of the Ioniq is pretty straightforward, there are Android based infotainment touchscreen, auto climate control, full color display instrumental panel, Qi wireless smartphone charging panel and more. Driving the Ioniq is a total bliss, the car's low centre gravity delivers stable drive, resulting very minimal body rolls when going into corner. The low positioned seats make you feel like you are driving a sport car when it is only a Hybrid.

Ioniq HEV Plus with AVN comes with Android system infotainment system.

The ioniq has a long list of safety features, starting with seven airbags, ABS, brake assist, hill start assist and vehicle stability management. The top spec is equipped with more high tech features such as blind spot detection, autonomous emergency braking, lane keep assist and adaptive cruise control. The Ioniq is being rated as five-star for Euro NCAP and being selected as Best In Class Cars Of 2016.

Psst, let me tell you a secret, the Hyundai Ioniq is now selling for less than RM110k and you can even get more discount with MyCarsearch. Don’t let others know because you need to look cool on this Halloween.

Renault Captur

Have you seen an orange SUV on the road rocking with a diamond shape logo and wonder what car is it? Let me tell you, it is Renault Captur.

The Renault Captur is well known as best-selling B-segment SUV in Europe, credit to its eye-catching dual tone body-paint and eccentric front design. It looks like the Renault Clio becomes The Hulk, whereby the Captur has jacked up suspension and raised cabin for commando driving position. This city friendly SUV is not that big afterall, it is being powered by 1.2 litre turbo engine with 120 hp and 190 Nm of torque mated with top speed of 192 km/h. The Captur is very much like the Peugeot 2008, the Captur is at ease when driving on the highway without any sluggish performance. The suspension is rather stiff on the city drive but the Captur drives well on the highway with high speed stability and corresponding drivetrain. Overall, the Captur is not the most exciting car to drive but it is smooth with great body control and high grip level.

Renault Captur comes with removable Velcro fabric seats

The Captur is very unique on the inside, the removable and washable cushion covers are made of Velcro fabric, matching the color with the body paint. The rear seats can be folded 60:40 for more boot space and be noted that the rear bench is able to slide forward and backward to make space for passenger legroom. The center head unit reminds me of 1997 Apple iMac which is curvy and glossy looking. The seven-inch MediaNav system supports AUX, USB, Bluetooth, reverse camera and navigation. Also looking vintage are the seat pockets behind the driver and front passenger’s seat, they are straps rather than a pocket, which limits its usability.

Renault Captur is equipped with stylish seven inch MediaNav system.

The Captur will be a great car for a short getaway from the city, it is being rated as five star by Euro NCAP with four airbags, ESC, Hill Start Assist and ISOFIX child seat anchor points. The Captur is your practical ride that offers perfect versatility for both city and highway driving. It is pretty bold looking and stylish too, perfectly capture (pun intended!) the sporty characteristic of an urban compact SUV. The Captur comes with Orange, Red, Blue and Ivory color, there must be one that can fit with your Halloween style.

On the last note, I hope you got your pumpkin and prank jokes ready for this Halloween. You should always drink responsibly in this festive season. Do not miss the chance to catch the last train of MyCarsearch Year End sales to purchase your new car.
