Toyota Hilux and Sienta gets new aerokit

UMW Toyota Motor has introduced a new aerokit package for both Toyota Hilux and Sienta. The Hilux gets a new TRD aerokit package which cost RM4,800 with GST. The package is being offered for all double cab variants, the aerokit includes a honeycomb grille, lower bumper cover, red skid plate and matte black fender flares. 18 inch six spoke alloy wheels are only offered for 2.8G variant only. Sienta will gets new front bumper spoiler as well as side skirts which cost RM2,950 with GST.

2017 Kia Rio coming to Malaysia

Kia Malaysia has recently posted a teaser about the All New Kia Rio 2017. In the video, the new Rio comes with redesign front with brand new LED headlamps. The new Rio is also kicking with the new Blue color paint, a brighter shade compared to the current model.

Interior wise, the new Rio is roomier thanks to the larger body. Engine option is yet to be revealed, much expectation that Kia will bring in the 1.0 litre T-GDI turbo engine. However, rumors saying that new Rio will retain the current engine which is 1.4 litre naturally aspirated four cylinder engine with four speed automatic gearbox.


2018 Audi A8 worldwide debut

Audi has just debut the All New Audi A8 in Barcelona early this week. After teasing us in multiple advertisement campaign, the Audi A8 is looking stunning and packed with high tech features that far ahead of its competitors like Mercedes Benz, BMW and Tesla. Audi A8 is the first production vehicle that equipped with Level 3 autonomous driving system which allows the car the drive on itself on highway at speeds below 60km/h in traffic. The system is activated by a button on the center console, and it can take over acceleration, braking, steering, and starting from a dead-stop, all without the driver paying attention. However, the system is subject to the approval of law jurisdiction before drivers making full use of the system.

Under the hood, the Audi A8 is rocking multiple turbo engine choices from V6 to a massive 6 litre petrol W12 engine and Audi also mentioned that e-tron version is on the pipeline. Audi new MMI infotainment system features multiple touchscreens with haptic feedback that physically and audibly click when touched. Drivers can also use voice control to get directions or select a particular song. Audi powers its infotainment systems with Nvidia Tegra 3 quad-core processor, as well as 4G LTE and Wi-Fi.

Other interesting features are Matrix HD LED headlamps, OLED tail lights, rear passenger seats with back and foot massage, NFC connectivity, 5.7 inch touchscreen removable rear remote, two 10.1 inch removable Android tablets that mounted on the headrests. Remote parking pilot and remote garage pilot that enable the car to drive in and out of a parking spot autonomously, myAudi app on the smartphone to work as car key and more.

The A8 is a big step forward in advanced driving technology. Indeed, it is taking some ground breaking risks in some areas. However, Audi is definitely ahead of its and the A8 should be the pioneer that accentuates its technological leadership. (SOURCE: THE VERGE)


Mercedes X-class pick up Is here 

Mercedes is expected to debut their first pick-up, the X-Class next week on July 18. The truck will be on sale in Europe and not America before the end of the year and will go on sale in South America in 2018. Mercedes previously promised a payload of around 1.1 metric tons, and a towing ability of 3.5 tons. Tugging power will come from a four-or six-cylinder diesel engine, depending on spec, and a choice of either rear-wheel drive or Mercedes' 4Matic all-wheel-drive system will be available.

Exterior wise, the production X-Class is practically a copy of the concept, other than tiny tweaks like actual taillights and bigger mirrors. The pickup shares its platform with the Nissan Navara and Renault Alaskan, it will be not be a case of badge engineering as Meredes is going to brand their first pick up to be the luxury premium pick up In the market. (SOURCE: FOXNEWS)

2018 Jaguar E-Pace, crossover SUV for all

With the success story for Jaguar F-Pace, selling more than 80,000 sport utility vehicles after launching in 2016 and accounting for almost half of the company’s 172,848 cars sold in the last financial year, Jaguar is unveiling the new E-Pace crossover performance SUV. The four-wheel drive vehicle is smaller than Jaguar's F-PACE crossover and draws its muscular design inspiration from the F-TYPE sports car. The infotainment system on board is Jaguar’s flagship InControl Touch Pro, offered up on a tablet-like interface on the 10-inch screen in the middle center console. The E-Pace also features 12.3 inch digital instrumental panel, heads-up display, five USB charging ports, smartphone and tablet holder, an HDMI port and a SIM car slot with 4G support.

The E-Pace is all wheel drive with intelligent torque control system. Under the hood, the E-Pace is kicking with 2.0 litre four cylinder turbocharged Ingenium motor with either 246 horsepower, or tuned to 296 horsepower and mated with latest nine-speed ZF automatic gearbox in the with an option of paddle shifters on the steering wheel. The E-Pace could achieve 6.6-seconds from zero to 60mph and a 143mph top speed. There is an option of R-Dynamic variant of the E-Pace with more powerful 296-horsepower engine. (SOURCE: THE VERGE)


Weekly fuel price update: Fuel price up again

We received weekly fuel update, there will be a slight adjustment to this week fuel prices. RON95 will up 4 cents, RON97 fuel prices will up 3 cents while Diesel up 5 cents. RON 95 will be priced at RM1.97 per litre (+RM0.04), RON 97 will be priced at RM2.22 per litre (+RM0.04) and Diesel will be priced at RM1.96 (+RM0.07).

2017 Honda CR-V launched in Malaysia, promised the take back the crown

Honda Malaysia has just officially launched the All New 2017 Honda CR-V. The CR-V is at its fifth generation and it is now available in four variants and 2 engine permutations (2.0 2WD, 1.5TC 2WD, 1.5TC 4WD, 1.5 TC-P 2WD). All new turbo variants are equipped with 1.5 litre direct injection turbocharged VTEC engine, similarly the one that found on the Civic, 0 to 100km/h requires 8.8 seconds and a top speed of 200km/h. The base model 2.0 i-VTEC 2WD retains the same engine, 0 to 100km/h requires 11.3 seconds and a top speed of 193km/h

The new CR-V only comes with five seater as option with boot space of 522 litres, it can be expanded to 1,084 litres with rear seats folded. Exterior wise, the CR-V has a new redesigned front with LED headlamps and LED DRL comes as standard. The premium SUV is looking sharp with honeycomb front grille as well as sporty front diffuser. The rear of the CR-V is a total make over from the previous one, the L-shaped LED rear lamps elongates from the lower roof line, both rear lamps are connected with chrome bar and Honda logo in the middle. There are five colors available, Obsidian Blue Pearl, White Orchid Pearl, Modern Steel Metallic, Lunar Silver Metallic and a new shade of color, Dark Olive Metallic.

All variants now gets leather seats, smart keyless entry with push start, paddle shifters, dual-zone air cond, rear air vents, cruise control, auto dimming rear view mirror, eight way driver powered seat with lumbar support, eight speakers, seven inch infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. While the top spec CR-V 1.5 TC-P gets Honda Sensing package, the premium variant also gets Honda LaneWatch, auto high beam, active cornering lights, height adjustable powered tailgate. Safety wise, all variants now get six airbags, VSA, AHA, Hill Start Assist, Auto Brake Hold, ABS/EBD and multi-angle rear view camera.
